Ireland Day 5

Before we left Limerick this morning we went for a drive by the University of Limerick where I studied abroad.

    

Plassey Village where I lived.

I use to go to Spar for sandwiches and crisps (potato chips).  I use to get turkey, mayo, lettuce, cheese, and sweet corn.

 

Once we left Limerick we headed south to Cork where we went to Blarney Castle.

We had lunch in town before we left for Cork City.

We went to the East Village Hotel for New Year’s Eve dinner.

  

Brian and I cooked our own food on heated lava stones.  It was delicious!

Ireland Day 4

Today we went up to the Cliffs of Moher.  It was very wet and windy.

After the Cliffs we went to drive up to Galway.  The hour drive took three times as long in the snow.

 

Even the cows thought we were crazy as we drove through the snow filled hills.

We finally reached Galway!

The girls got Claddagh Rings and Kaitlyn got a cross for her communion.

 

As we start the drive back to Limerick the snow is still falling.

Ireland Day 3

This morning we left Dublin for Limerick.

Wet Irish weather.

Tonight we went to Bunratty Castle.

          

We had dinner in the castle and listened to the singers.
