Girl Scout Camp

The girls spent this week at Girl Scout Day Camp.  Today they put on a show for the parents.

 

Our New Addition

Today we went to the Converse Animal Shelter to “look” at the kittens.  Needless to say we left with a new member of the family – Penelope!

Penguins!

Delia decided she wanted to meet the penguins so we went on the behinds the scene tour.   First we went through the exhibits and learned about the penguins. Next we got to go into the exhibit.  It was freezing!     Then we got to meet and pet a baby penguin.  Baby penguins have grey fluffy feathers before they get their black and white ones.

Baby Beluga Encounter

For their birthdays the girls were able to each pick something special to do at Sea World.  Kaitlyn decided to meet the Baby Beluga Whales.  Brian joined her in the water.

   

Happy Father’s Day

This was the first time in 5 years that we were able to celebrate Father’s Day with Brian. 

First Bath

Kaitlyn helped me give Maddie her first bath.  She seemed to like kicking her legs in the water.

   

SSG

Although Brian was promoted 1 May, he was finally pinned today.  Throughout his Army career we have always been apart when he is promoted so it was special that we were part of this one.

Delia removed his Sergeant rank.

And I got to place on his Staff Sergeant rank.  I was told to give him a couple smacks to make sure it was on there good.

The girls received coins for their help with the ceremony.

Grandma Nora

The girls have been enjoying their time with Grandma Nora.

Sea World

Today we went to Sea World with Grandma Nora.  The girls were super excited.

They loved cooling off in the Sesame Bay of Play.

Brian, Kaitlyn, and Delia sat in the splash zone while Maddie, Grandma and I sat up higher.  Maddie slept through the show.
