My friend Catherine was in Zweibrucken (about 40 minutes away) for work. Cat was one of my housemates when I studied at the University of Limerick. Brian, the girls, and I met her for dinner tonight. It was great seeing her and catching up.
Today we had to check out and head back home.
We stopped in Nancy, France on the way home.
Nancy’s Place Stanislas is considered one of the most beautiful royal squares in Europe.
We stopped in one of Nancy’s parks for lunch and some mini golf.
Connie’s Hole in One!
We didn’t get to see much in Paris but Nancy had its own Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame.
Today we took the girls to Paris.
It was Bastille Day (France’s Independence Day) so a flight show was going on over the Arc de Triomphe.
Minutes after we arrived it started to pour!
For a while we rain was bearable but we were soon all soaked. We decided we would call it a day and try another time.
Back at the hotel the kids enjoyed the pool.
This morning we got in the car and drove to Paris. The girls didn’t know where we were going but were happy once we got there.
We waited 2 1/2 hours to get a picture with a princess!
As soon as we sat for dinner Delia passed out!
After Kaitlyn ate she was asleep too. We took them back to the hotel to rest.
After the kid’s woke up we went back to the park for the lights parade and fireworks.
Kaitlyn was so excited to see Ariel.
