The girls weren’t feeling well this morning so we got a bit of a late start. Around noon we left the hotel and headed into the city. We went to the Old Jameson Distillery. They no longer make whiskey here but they walk you through the process.
The coopers (barrel makers) often contained numerous members of the same family. Nicknames were given to all the employees. Here are the McCarthy ones.
At the end you got a sample. Brian tried his straight and I had mine with ginger ale. The girls got soda.
This evening we walked around the Temple Bar section of Dublin.
We had a pint and some great Irish food for dinner.
