CPL Dushock
Today we went to the Luxemburg American Cemetery. During World War II Mama was engaged to a soldier who killed in the Battle of the Bulge. Today she got to visit his grave site.

Month of the Military Child
Today the base celebrated the Month of the Military Child. They had tons of fun activities for the kids.
(Her face paint was suppose to look like a Giant Panda. We thought it just looked scary.)
First Communion Retreat
Kaitlyn attended her First Communion Retreat today.
They learned about the miracle of the loaves and fishes,…..

The bases here have Job Shadow Day each year. Brian is away training this week so Kaitlyn came with me Sembach Middle School. She was Ms. Roussel today.

Opening Day
Today was Opening Day for Kaiserslautern Baseball. We started the day with Opening Ceremonies. This year Kaitlyn’s team is the River Bandits.
Delia enjoys some funnel cake.
At 2pm Kaitlyn had her first game vs the Lugnuts.
During her last inning, with two strikes, Kaitlyn hit a grounder and made it to first.
She made a dramatic slide into home as she ran the bases.

Unit BBQ
Today we went over to Brian’s work for a Unit BBQ. Food was good and the kids had a lot of fun.
I got an award for my work with the FRG.

Clara Maria Cheese and Clog Farm
Today we went up to Holland for the day. We took the MWR bus again and left at 2am. Our first stop of the day was a cheese and clog farm.
Kaitlyn wears some stylish goggles as they carve clogs.

Next we saw how they make their cheese…
Lastly we go to taste some and purchase some to bring home.
