Easter Wednesday

Tonight we had Easter dinner.  We couldn’t get a good piece of lamb so we had roast beef instead.

Luck of the Irish

Happy St Patrick’s Day!  Tonight’s menu was corned beef, cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and Irish soda bread.

Love is in the Air

Tonight we celebrated Valentine’s Day.  We had cheese and chocolate fondue.

  

We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Tonight was Christmas Eve Dinner.  One of Brian’s favorite meals is Mama’s Christmas Eve Fish Dinner.  Tonight Mom helped bring a little of that to Germany.  We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, baked clams, crab cakes, and shrimp parmesan.

Pumpkin Fest

Today we went to Hitscherhof’s Pumpkin Fest.  The weather held out for us and we really enjoyed our day.

Turkey Time

Tonight we celebrated Thanksgiving.  Brian deep fried the turkey.  It was delicious!!!

 

Fall Fun

Despite the cool weather the girls both had a great time at soccer today.

Turkey Prep

Since Brian will be gone for a year, this week we will celebrating all the holidays he will be missing.  Tonight he prepared the turkey for tomorrow’s Thanksgiving dinner.

Deployment Ceremony

Today Brian’s detachment had their deployment ceremony.  Their guide-on (flag) was wrapped and prepared for their departure.  It will be unwrapped and flown once they reach their destination down range.

Wine Fest!!!

Mom arrived this morning for a two week visit.  This afternoon we took the train to Wine Fest.  The day was filled with great wine, crazy rides, and delicious food.
