Valentine’s Day on the Rhine

Brian and I went on a Valentine’s Day tour of the Rhine River today.  We started at Burg Reichenstein, one of the oldest castles on the Rhine. The 11th century robber knight’s castle
has been destroyed and rebuilt at least three times.

Hunting in Germany costs thousands of dollars.  The castle showcased over 1200 various antlers as a sign of their wealth.

The library’s book were in pristine condition.  The owners didn’t read them but showcased them to show off their wealth.

After the castle we boarded a boat for a two hour tour of the Rhine River.

After the boat ride we finished the evening with dinner at a local wine cellar.
