Today Brian went before the promotion board. The promotion process is two parts. First is the board where you are challenged by a panel of your superiors. Your performance is reviewed and if you pass, you are awarded the promotable status. The second part is a point system. Education, awards, physical training, marksmanship, and other aspects of your military career give you points. The Army puts out a cut-off for points each month. Now that Brian has his promotable status he just has to work on gaining the rest of his points.
